Hello, I'm Kid Freedom and I'm with Kid Fisherman here. Can you say hi? Hi. And you might want to speak up. So as you can hear, this is unscripted. We have no script, but we do have a topic. Uh our topic is heroes of America. So what do you know about Charlie Kirk, Kid Fisherman?

Um, Charlie Kirk, some stinky man, he shot him, and now he's dead. Um, and he shot him because faith and freedom.

And family. Uh, yeah, yeah. So he got killed in Utah Valley University. But uh his wife, uh, Erica Kirk became the leader of TP USA. A organization he made called Turning Point USA. Uh, he started the group in 2012 when he was 18 years old. 18 years old. What do you think about that? Starting an organization when you're only 18.

That's pretty crazy.

Mm-hmm. He didn't even go to college. But uh, so yeah. The group, TP USA, focused on topics like free markets, capitalism, limited government, conservatism, conservative social values, free speech on college campuses. Uh, he was well known during the rise of Donald Trump and was a strong Trump supporter. He hosted the Charlie Kirk show, spoke at political rallies, debated students on college campuses, and built a huge online audience through podcasts, YouTube, and social media. So, Kid Fisherman. Uh, you know, he was really putting his voice out through that through YouTube, podcasts, and social media. Do you think that helped him become more well known?

Okay. In his early life, uh, he got interested in politics, especially conservative economics and government and policy. Do you understand what I just said?

Do you know what conservatism is?

It's kind of like republicanism. Kind of. When he was in high school, he wrote articles criticizing what he believed was liberal bias in education. One article got national attention and led to TV appearances. Instead of going to college, he focused on political activism full time. So, as we know, in 2012, he was 18 years old and he founded Turning Point USA. So, we've already covered that. What he believed was conservative policies, capitalism, and free markets, smaller government, Christian values, strong border security, opposition to progressive campus activism, free speech arguments on college campuses. Do you understand what I just said?

Okay, but do you believe that in uh USA we should have free speech?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone does. Okay. He often traveled to colleges and set up booths where students could ask him political questions in public. All almost all of these debates were filmed and uploaded on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and X. Supporters like his confidence and fast responses. Critics said that videos sometimes oversimplified issues or targeted i inexperienced students. So, have you seen lots of videos of Charlie Kirk on YouTube?

Okay, cool. So, uh, do you think Charlie Kirk really impacted USA and how people think of it?

Yes.

Awesome. Okay, so we're not only talking about Charlie Kirk. We're talking about heroes today. So our next one is Ronald Reagan.

Yeah, Ronald Reagan.

Okay, so do you know who Ronald Reagan is?

Um, it was a president, and he um he uh so yeah, I think I had a brain fart.

You had a brain fart? Alright, well he was a president, he got shot in the leg. Um with someone trying to assassinate him, but he survived, and so a lot of people liked him. So Ronald Reagan is a hero because he helped restore confidence in the United States during a difficult time in the 1980s. So one of Reagan's biggest legacies was his role in the final years of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. Supporters say he rebuilt the US military, took a strong stance against the Soviet Union, pressured Soviet leaders economically and politically, and promoted freedom and democracy. His famous line, Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall, became symbolic of resistance to communism. Many people credit Reagan and Soviet leader Makhail Gorbachev with helping reduce tensions that eventually led to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union. When Reagan became president in 1981, the US was dealing with high inflation, unemployment, and an energy crisis, low national morale after the Vietnam War and Water Gay scandal. So what do you think about that?

So so Kid Fisherman, that basically means when he became president, he was dealing with high inflation. A lot of people didn't have jobs, an energy crisis, so that means like a problem with inflation. Yeah, you know what inflation is. I know.

It's when money r rises like a whole bunch.

Or or like not even that much sometimes.

Yeah, um, but low national morale after the Vietnam War and Watergale scandal also made that hard for him. So Reagan was known for being optimistic and confident. Supporters believed he helped Americans feel proud of their country again. So he lowered taxes, reduced government regulations, encouraged business growth too. Uh he was nicknamed the Great Communicator because he was very skilled at public speeding.

Yes. Before politics, he had been an actor in Hollywood movies and television. Many people felt he could explain complicated ideas in a simple, inspiring way. So he strongly supported patriism, free marketing, capitalism, smaller government, strong national defense, and traditional values. M many later conservative politicians, including Donald Trump, has referenced Reagan as an inspiration. He's personally my favorite president.

So as you can tell, Kim Fisherman is not a good singer. Our next heroes are our parents. Our parents help us in so many ways. They give us food, they help us, they give us shelter, they make us feel comforted.

Yeah, also, um, even if you don't have parents, if you have grandparents watching over you, that's awesome. Because another one of our heroes are our grandpas and grandmas. But let's start with grandpas.

Oh, so funny. Anyway, uh, so your grandpas take you fishing, they give you nice desserts, they help you be knowledgeable, they give you knowledge, basically. Knowledge. And they do fun things with you. Like taking you to Colorado and stuff, you know?

Yeah, knowledge. Colorado! So our grandparents live in Colorado.

Yeah, our grandparents live in Colorado, Utah, and Kansas. So, yeah. Uh, but for your grandparents or your grandpa, let's start with your grandpa. How do you feel when your grandpas take you fishing?

Amazing. Because I love fishing. And papa, if you're listening to this, you are nice to me.

So, and papa, and who's your other grandpa? What do you call them?

Pop pop and pop pop. They take you fishing and you love it. Alright, and now grandmas. They comfort you, they have fun with you, and they bake, you know?

Yeah, oh, our grandma. She made the best donuts and caramels. Yeah, the bit that caramel is like the best. That was the best thing I ever had in my life. The caramel that grandma can-sometimes um your grandmas can't cook, but they may be at they may be good at grilling.

Yeah, sometimes your grandmas may not be able to bake, but they can might be do be able to do good grilling. So all of our grandmas bake. We have three grandmas, grams, grammy, and gigi. So Hello ya!

Yeah, uh, Grammy bakes uh donuts and caramels, like you said. Gigi, she makes really good cookies and lemon. Lemon, I forgot what they are. They're lemon squares. And then our other grandma, she comes uh and fishes with us with Papa. And our grandmas really help us be optimistic about us.

Like they comfort us. Uh one time we went white water rafting with Papa and Grams. That was really awesome. And we go fishing with Papa and Grammy. And then with Gigi, she always bakes us stuff and brings it. Mm-hmm. And um, remember, it's not always about what they give you. You can also give them stuff and make them feel better.
